unlucky near misses

it seems there will ALWAYS be a memorable moment every year of my life where something i so put a lot of effort in barely, barely, BY A FRACTURE OF A HAIRLINE, fails to pay off.

Last year, I was lining up for autographs from F1 drivers at Sepang. Up on stage was 4 DRIVERS! Button (2009 world champ), Barrichello, Trulli and Glock. Since only a selected few are chosen, based on who's ahead in line, i was DAMN unlucky to be the first of those being turned away. The next driver i got was.. guess who? Liuzzi. the current Force India driver.

THIS TIME ROUND, I've just been handed a 10% penalty (standard 1 day late penalty) for submitting my microeconomics assignment 1 MIN LATE. yup, your eyes arent playing tricks on you. it was that close. and it was that cruel too. Considering I took my sweet time as one would never assume a zero leeway allowance.

THANK GOD the beauty of His grace and mercy allows for second-chances.

the stupidest trade-off in the history of mankind and machine

Economics Principle #1: People face trade-offs

today, the AI made a move it wish it could "undo".

and so at this current moment the AI has the upper hand. 1 "mar" (knight) and 1 "cher" (castle) against my 1 "cher" and 4 "pings" (pawns)

However, the AI makes the dumbest of moves in Artificial Intelligence history by swapping "chers".. at first glace it may seem that 1 mar is capable of overpowering 4 pings.

Highly unlikely.

as eu vin would quote from his game, THE CAKE IS A LIE.

Uni Life has its ups and downs. and now, i'm at the deepest pit where there's almost no point of return.

~ playin catch-up has NEVER been this hard. last min work wud cut it in ye' old jolly good days. now however, my days are numbered if i don't do a thing about IT.

*IT referring to the load of assignments, not to mention keeping up with weekly learning objectives, tutorial work............. the list goes on.

THE CAKE IS A LIE. Life in uni is far from rewarding. maybe its cuz i'm doing the core subjects now - not exactly what i wanna specialise in. maybe it's the lack of interest in numbers (accounting) , analysing graphs (biz and econ stats), understanding graphs (microecons) and memorising theories (management) that's pullin me down.

bottom line : DO OR DIE.

UPDATE 2:updates in pictures cuz i'm too lazy to blog

FINALLY. 1 WEEK TERM BREAK. i'm back in jb - but i'll be heading back up to kl tomorrow :') i'm happy and sad about it. happy = get to focus on studies cuz my room's a distraction. sad = leaving home - again. :(

3 days ago i heard meowing while reading the papers. curiosity SAVED the cat as i went to the backyard to find out where the meowing was coming from. there came this ADORABLE black kitten. the moment we crossed paths, it came running to me ~~and i immediately picked it up and showered it with my tender love~~ this kitty is fortunate in a way not to be mauled by my doggies.
mommy wont let me keep it. see how sad it looks :( so daddy brought it to our unoccupied neighbours house. and i had fun feeding it (ok sounds wrong?) and frolicking with it (sounds wrong too).

this is a playful one. sadly it left the compound and thankfully i found it again yesterday evening. it was happy moments again - at least for tht 30 mins. today it again ran off. went to find it.. but it wasnt an easy task. spotted it at some1 else's backyard. oh well - looks like it went back to its owner. i guess you cant have everythin in life :( and i also guess kittens arent reli tht faithful. ~~puppy~~kitty love? hope it doesnt apply to me and my fresh from the oven girlfriend :p

went to cheras with eugene the other day to hang out with jack. isnt it gr8 to hav a fren who owns a car? we made use of him by havin him drive us round kl for a wild nite :p kiddin! FRENS DONT MAKE USE OF EACH OTHER. WE COMPLEMENT ONE ANOTHER :)

jack took us to cheras leisure mall.look at this cute heart-shaped jelly tht came with my jap meal set :p jack got the shapeless one. he's single. =.=

it was then followed by a trip to bukit bintang, then chow kit (we're still virgins), then kepong - to pay vincent a visit!

before tht, we popped by bram mall - where all the shops were closed. i took the liberty of turning on this weight and height machine and yea, this is our total weight combined. eugene + eric + jack. an awesome threesome! (poor choice of words?)

cross my heart, i was sober the whole nite! however it was VERY NICE of those "frens" of mine to observe me like some experimental lab rat when i gulped a quarter of a glass of whiskey down. bottoms up. BIG DEAL. lol. nice of vincent to invite us over. he has a pretty cool house and its only right to bring over pretty cool fwens over rite? haha =.=
